Additive Weighing

Industrial GUI design commissioned under a freelance contract with Alpha Engineering. The work is permitted for use exclusively in my personal portfolio for job application purposes.

This project involved applying a refined visual and interaction design layer to a low-fidelity UI structure developed by Alpha’s in-house engineering team for a newly built manufacturing system’s device control touch panel.

The redesign focused on improving visual hierarchy, gaze flow, and operational clarity. Considering direct finger-based touch interaction, I reorganized button layouts to enhance accessibility and reduce input error. Controls were restructured to enable clear differentiation and efficient management of multiple devices, while establishing a cohesive visual system across the overall screen layout.

The terminology and language settings used in the final design were retained as provided in the original development team output, in accordance with the client’s request. As a result, the interface contains a mixture of Korean and English.
